PS Plus Premium streamed PS3 games won't support DLC

News PS Plus Premium streamed PS3 games won't support DLC DLC for games like Lost Planet 2, Tokyo Jungle, and Asura's Wrath won't be included through streaming on PS Plus Premium. As we get closer to June, so too do we get closer to the launch of the revamped PlayStation Plus. After years of Xbox Game Pass holding the reins as one of the best deals in gaming, PlayStation is finally trying to do something similar, but it’s looking like some pieces of the puzzle may be missing out of the gate. Some of the PS3 games that will be included through streaming in the PS Plus Premium tier feature DLC, and that DLC won’t be accessible through streamed games, as PlayStation recently confirmed. PlayStation shared a wealth of details on the PS Plus revamp through a new information article about everything offered in the new program. It was here that we learned there might be an issue with some of the PS3 streamed games. Simply put, DLC won’t be accessible on any streamed game “Please note, DLC and add-on content is not supported when streaming a title,” the article reads. Asura's Wrath is one of a few games that will actually be hurt by lack of access to its DLC in the revamped PS Plus lineup. This might prove to be a problem for some players and their favorite games, considering what we know is coming to the revamped PS Plus lineup so far. For some PS3 games, the DLC isn’t a big deal, but it’s shame to not…

Sniper Elite 5 review: Right on target

Ten entries in, the Sniper Elite franchise knows exactly what it is. There’s going to be a lot of sniping Nazis, gory x-ray animations, and a healthy serving of stealth in between. Sniper Elite 5 is the latest iteration of that model and delivers on all fronts. In addition to the standard franchise fixings, Sniper Elite 5 ups the ante with some new modes and features. Overlords Once again dropping players into the brutal World War 2 setting, Sniper Elite 5 centers around the infamous D-Day that took place in France in 1944. Players take on the role of Karl Fairburne a US ranger sent on a covert mission to weaken Nazi forces along the coast. Fairburne soons finds himself in the thick of a dangerous Nazi plot that he’ll need to team up with French Resistance forces in order to stop. It’s more or less your standard World War 2 story. An adaptation of true events that takes the necessary liberties to make it feel fresh and interesting, especially for a franchise that’s published multiple games in this setting. Fairburne is a bit of a surface-level protagonist, but he’s got that level-headed badass quality that makes him a good enough Nazi-slaying avatar. Throughout his journey, Fairburne will meet and ally himself with a number of different characters, many of which I found to be pretty interesting. I was always fascinated when side characters would pop back up and was genuinely curious to learn more about them. Stealthy is healthy Although the campaign in Sniper Elite 5 isn’t completely open-world,…

How to unlock Solar grenades - Destiny 2

Guide How to unlock Solar grenades - Destiny 2 Unlock the extra Solar grenades in Destiny 2 to harness your class' full potential. The launch of Season of the Haunted brought Solar 3.0 to Destiny 2 and with it new Solar grenades for every class. When you first load into Destiny 2, you’ll notice that you will have a few of them missing or unavailable for your class. The good news is that you can unlock them straight away and start enjoying grenades that were previously locked to other classes. How to unlock Solar grenades Much like the extra Void grenades before it, players can unlock Solar grenades by visiting Ikora Rey in the Tower. Load into the Tower and head to the Bazaar to find Ikora. Speaking with her will reveal a new set of submenus for Void and Solar. Open up the Solar menu and the grenade tab to find all the Solar grenades you may have been missing. Head to Ikora to unlock the other Solar grenades. You can purchase every single Solar grenade, provided you have the Glimmer. Each grenade will set you back 3,000 Glimmer which means you’ll need at least 15,000 to unlock them all. While you’re there, you should also take the time to unlock the Solar Fragments so you can tinker with your build a bit more. These are more expensive, clocking in at 25,000 Glimmer each. Once you’ve purchased the Solar grenades, you will need to meditate at the little statue beside Ikora Rey. Interact with the statue and all the…

New York City retires the last public payphone from service

News New York City retires the last public payphone from service New York City's final payphone has been removed in midtown. End of an era. There are a lot of things that come to mind when you think of New York City: skyscrapers, taxis, pizza, the list goes on. Among those was once the payphones that populated many of the city's streets, but have seen dwindling numbers since a campaign to replace them was kicked off nearly a decade ago. This week marked the official end of an era as the last public payphone was removed from New York City’s streets. New York City’s final payphone was removed on May 23, 2022. Located in Midtown Manhattan, workers yanked the payphone from the ground and hauled it away on a truck. Luckily, the relic that is the final NYC payphone won’t be lost forever, as it will be put on display in the Museum of the City of New York. It will be featured in an exhibit that highlights NYC life prior to computers and their associated technologies. New York City first began removing public payphones back in 2014 under Mayor Bill de Blasio. The removed payphones have been replaced with LinkNYC kiosks developed by CityBridge. These special kiosks provide Wi-Fi and phone charging in addition to the ability to make free phone calls. This will be the case for the final payphone that was removed earlier this week. According to LinkNYC, it has over 2,000 kiosks across New York City, which residents and tourists can find using a map on…
