Horror fans have actually been looking forward to Alan Wake 2 for a very long time, but the game is going to have a great deal of competition to handle in October. Games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Forza Motorsport, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be hogging the spotlight, and it seems Remedy have actually decided to shift their video game’s release date a bit in order to ideally give the video game a bit more time to breathe.
An upgrade from the Alan Wake 2 team: we’re moving Alan Wake 2’s launch from October 17 to October 27.
October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift provides more area for everyone to enjoy their preferred games.

” An upgrade from the Alan Wake 2 group: we’re moving Alan Wake 2’s launch from October 17 to October 27. October is a fantastic month for video game launches and we hope this date shift gives more area for everybody to enjoy their preferred video games. We can’t wait to reveal you what everyone’s preferred author depends on in the Dark Place next week. Thanks for your perseverance!”
One questions just how much distinction this shift will actually make. Previously, Alan Wake 2 was introducing right before Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Wonder. Is launching after them in fact any better? Likewise, now the game will introduce on practically the exact same day as the new Alone in the Dark. I’m thinking Alan Wake will be larger than Alone in the Dark, however still … direct survival horror competitors. I know horror video games like to release around Halloween, but Remedy may wish to consider moving all the method out of October. A December or early 2024 release may really let Alan Wake 2 breathe.
Have not been keeping up with Alan Wake 2? Do check out Wccftech’s newest Q&A with the game’s designers. Remarkably, we asked them straight about the October competition (the interview was posted back in June) and they didn’t appear to worried at the time. Possibly that’s altered a bit, but they are right– competitors isn’t something you can ever escape …
“Well, there’s constantly competition, right? We actually just stress over making the best game we can. That’s what’s ultimately the most important thing. And after that the rest we will see.”
Alan Wake 2 launches on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 on October 27. What do you believe? Will you be carving out some time for Alan Wake throughout this very-busy October?
