Apple has seen fit to announce new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with many changes on the outside and inside. At its 'Scary Fast' event, the company has also seen fit to unveil its latest M3 line of chips that bring enhanced computational and graphical performance to the table. While the design of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro has been kept the same, the company introduced incremental changes, which will enhance user experience across the board.

Starting with the design, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook features the same aluminum unibody design with an edge-to-edge display and a notch up top. The display can reach brightness levels of up to 1,600 nits in bright environments, which is 20 percent brighter than before. To top it off, the company offers the new MacBook Pro models in a stunning new Space Black color option. Additionally, the company did not make any changes to the ports.

While the MacBook Pro already features a great design, the company introduced significant changes on the inside. The 14-inch MacBook Pro models now feature Apple's latest M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Mac chips and now start at a cheaper price. The new chips deliver enhanced computational and graphical performance, more than twice as fast as the M1 series of chips for the MacBook Pro models.

The new M3 and M3 Pro chip is now available with the 14-inch MacBook Pro, a welcome addition. The M3 Ma chip Is available with the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models feature a fan that will ensure a sustained performance. The M3 MacBook Pro is up to 60 percent faster than the 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro. The M3 Pro MacBook Pro is up to 40 percent faster than the M1 Pro MacBook Pro, and the M3 Max MacBook Pro is 2.5x faster than the M1 Max MacBook Pro.

The machines now pack 128GB of unified memory, limited to the Mac Studio. The M3 Max MacBook Pro supports up to 4 high-res external monitors. The M3 chip features an 8-core CPU, and up to a 10-core GPU, the 13 Pro features up to a 12-core CPU and up to 18-core GPU, and the M3 Max chip comes with up to 16-core CPU and up to 40-core GPU. All M3 chips can be configured with up to 24GB, 36GB, and 128GB of unified memory, respectively.

Lastly, the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are available in a new Space Black color option. All models are slated to feature up to 22 hours of battery life. The base 14-inch MacBook Pro is available at $1,599, and the 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $2,499. You can pre-order the machines starting today, and it will be available next week.
