In a press release today, Apple exposed a very first take a look at The Buccaneers, a new drama series that will premiere on Apple television+ on Wednesday, November 8th. The series is based upon Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edith Wharton's incomplete last novel of the exact same name and is produced by Katherine Jakeways.

The series, as Apple describes in its synopsis, will inform the story of a group of American ladies in the 1870s who "take off into the tightly corseted London season."

being written by series creator Katherine Jakeways, the series is directed by BAFTA Award winner Susanna White, who likewise works as executive manufacturer together with BAFTA Award nominee Beth Willis.
