The Intel 1st Gen Core Ultra, Meteor Lake, CPU specifications have leaked out giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming mobility lineup.

Intel’s 1st Gen Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” CPU Lineup To Feature Core Ultra 9 185H CPU With 5.1 GHz Boost Clocks

The latest leaked specifications come from Golden Pig Upgrade over at Bilibili who has shared the trio of Core Ultra configurations which include the Core Ultra 9 185H, Core Ultra 7 165H & also the Core Ultra 7 155H which we recently reported over here. All three of these chips are designated to be high-end offerings within the Core Ultra mainstream family.

Intel Core Ultra 9 185H “Meteor Lake” CPU Specs:

So starting with the specifications, it looks like the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU might be the flagship offering with the same 6+8+2 core configuration.  This includes 6 Performance cores based on the Redwood Cove architecture, 8 Efficiency cores on Crestmont architecture, and an additional two E-Cores using the same architecture that is found within the SOC tile. It looks like the chip will clock in at a base frequency of 3.8 GHz which will boost up to 4.5 GHz (nominal) and 5.1 GHz with the TVB technology. This aligns with the earlier reports which highlighted that Meteor Lake CPUs will indeed clock in above 5.0 GHz.

Intel Core Ultra 7 165H “Meteor Lake” CPU Specs:

The second SKU is the Intel Core Ultra 7 165H which features a peak boost frequency of 5.0 GHz so that’s also meeting the 5 GHz clock barrier whereas the Core Ultra 7 155H will peak out at 4.8 GHz. This means that the benchmarks we saw earlier did report a finalized clock speed however within the Geekbench log, the CPU clocks weren’t very consistent so that will affect performance.

Intel Core Ultra 5 125H “Meteor Lake” CPU Specs:

Fresh in, we now have benchmarks and specifications of the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H CPU too which is a 4+8+2 SKU with a base clock of 3.60 GHz & a boost clock somewhere around the 4.5 GHz range. The CPU was spotted within the HP Omen Transcend Gaming Laptop, scoring 2208 points in ST & 11563 points in the MT tests. You can see benchmarks in the chart below (Source: Geekbench via Benchleaks):

As usual, it is better to wait for final benchmarks or those that appear closer to launch. Most of the chips that will be benchmarked in the coming days might still just be ES parts as pointed out by their lower ST performance. These chips will also be configured around the 28-35W minimum and 45W nominal TDP targets. Following are some of the main features you can expect from the 1st Gen Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” family:

  • Triple-Hybrid CPU Architecture (P/E/LP-E Cores)
  • Brand New Redwood Cove (P-Cores)
  • Brand New Crestmont (E-Cores)
  • Up To 14 Cores (6+8) For H/P Series & Up To 12 Cores (4+8) For U Series CPUs
  • Intel 4 Process Node For CPU, TSMC For tGPU
  • Intel ‘Xe-MTL’ GPU With Up To 128 EUs
  • Up To LPDDR5X-7467 & DDR5-5200 Support
  • Up To 96 GB DDR5 & 64 GB LPDDR5X Capacities
  • Intel VPU For AI Inferencing With Atom Cores
  • x8 Gen 5 Lanes For Discrete GPU (Only H-Series)
  • Triple x4 M.2 Gen 4 SSD Support
  • Four Thunderbolt 4 Ports

So far, we have seen a total of six Intel Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” CPU SKUs being reported through leaks or official data. There might be more SKUs, especially since the Core Ultra 5 segment isn’t yet fully reported along with the standard Core (Non-Ultra) parts which will be based on the Raptor Lake Refresh family. The company is expected to unveil its 1st Gen Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” family at the Innovation event this month followed by an official launch in fall 2023.
