It can beam energy at about 5 in order to 10 watts, a price that’s not beyond the boundary through Qi charging pads or even lower-end phone chargers. But the technology may also be modified for much higher energy devices, including laptops plus drones that need a hundred watts, and for much longer distances, the organization says.

GuRu hubs might be built directly into ceiling fixtures for the room, conference call speaker techniques in offices, smart loudspeakers or other devices. The standalone hub likely would certainly cost about just as much as the higher-end Qi charger or even Wi-Fi router.
